MVSO is Revving Up The Show For 2026

After the final checkered flag flew over the 2025 season, track promoting husband and wife duo, Tony and CleAnne Undem, along with their team of family and friends reflected on what was no doubt their best season since they assumed control of the high banked 3/8 mile Mission Valley Super Oval with great pride in what they had accomplished. There were new cars and drivers in every division and that meant new fans. "One of the things we noticed last year was the number of new faces out here. We saw our core fans and drivers, but we also had lots new faces." said CleAnne.
That was most apparent when the North American Big Rigs joined the Big 5 Super Late Model series for a spectacular show for the Big Sky Kubota 100. "We had to have them back." declared Tony. "We had no choice, those guys put on a heck of a show and the fans loved them." This year the Kubota 100 will fall on June 6th and the Hobby Stocks will fill the line-up as the support division.
When asked if there were any new races to anticipate Tony perked up, "We are doing a Demo Derby this year. We've had people ask us every year to host a derby, this will be our first." He continued, "We are calling it Mission Valley Mayhem! We are doing boat races also, were they chain an old beat up boat behind a car and drag it around the track. It's pretty spectacular!"
The premier racing event for the 2026 season will be the Montana 200. This will be the 35th annual running of the Montana 200. Last years champion of the race was Troutdale Oregon's Zachary Riehl. Runner up was Kalispell native Alex Lessor who is still searching for his Montana 200 victory after more than 20 attempts. Andrew Riehl, the younger brother of Zach, putting on an amazing show finishing in 3rd place in that event.
"We can't wait for summer to get here." Tony said "We've got a ton still to do to prep for this season, but we are hoping the weather stays good for us so we can get an early jump this year." Each year the track requires significant maintenance and lately Tony and his team have been improving the facility as well. "We try top pick a few things every year to improve during the offseason." Tony explained. "This place has really grown since we took over. We paved most of the pits for our drivers, added party decks, RV parking and better lighting for our fans, and from a safety standpoint, I can't explain how important the new walls have been." Over the past 2 seasons Tony and his team managed to add concrete walls at both ends of the track. "We had a couple cars go over the bank in turn 1 and we just couldn't keep allowing that to happen."
The 2026 Test and Tune day is May 16th with the Season Opener scheduled for May 23rd featuring the Hobby Stock, INEX Legends, Pro-Mod 4's, Hornets & new division the Bombers. Yes, this is the bombers for back in the day, steel bodied cars with V8 horsepower. It is sure to be a fan favorite.
